PROJECT: LOOM & CLOTH
Role: Chief Product Officer & Chief Creative Officer
The Vision: Heirloom in an Era of "Fast"
Loom & Cloth was born as a direct challenge to the "fast-fashion" cycle that has permeated the home textile and fashion industry. My mission was to decouple luxury from waste, creating a brand centered on intentionality, provenance, and the "Slow Home" movement.
As Chief Creative Officer, I lead the visual narrative and textile design, ensuring every weave and pattern reflects a modern-heirloom aesthetic. As Chief Product Officer, I architected the end-to-end journey—from the looms of India to the homes of our customers—to prove that ethical, artisanal production can scale within the modern retail landscape.
The Strategic Framework
Anti-Fast Fashion & Direct Provenance
We eliminated the "middleman" bloat that defines traditional sourcing.
Through a deep partnership with our factory in India, we maintain total transparency. This direct-to-maker model ensures that our workers are celebrated, our materials are premium, and our quality is uncompromising. We don't just "buy" product; we build it from the fiber up.
The "Zero-Waste" Supply Chain
To solve the industry’s overproduction crisis, our factory partner uses a made-to-order, quick-ship model. By utilizing a "blank-to-finish" workflow, we keep inventory lean and focus on high-perceived-value customization. We utilize our global factory for bulk artisanal production and a specialized domestic 3PL for personalized, one-off finishing.
Differentiating through Personalization
Recognizing the market’s shift toward the "Identity Economy," I expanded our product ecosystem to include high-end personalization. By integrating domestic embroidery and custom finishing, we’ve bridged the gap between artisanal international craftsmanship and the "Amazon-speed" expectations of the US consumer.
The Plans
- Market Expansion: Actively working with Homegoods with plans to partner with key Marketplaces including Nordstrom, Target, and Minted.
- B2B Growth: Establish a robust wholesale channel through Faire wholesale, Shopify Collective, as well as major trade shows.
- Category Innovation: Scaling the assortment from core bedding into high-margin "Lifestyle" categories, including family/pet matching apparel and personalized home accessories.
The Executive Vision
Loom & Cloth is a case study in Supply Chain Agility. By architecting a "Blank-to-Finish" model before the first order was even placed, we have effectively de-risked the launch phase—eliminating the inventory debt that typically plagues new textile ventures.
As Fractional CPO and Creative Lead, my goal is to prove that "Anti-Fast Fashion" isn't just a mission statement; it’s a competitive edge. By leveraging a direct-from-factory partnership in India and a tech-integrated domestic 3PL, we have built a turnkey system capable of scaling high-margin, personalized luxury without the traditional overhead of a global brand. We aren't just launching a product line; we are launching a scalable blueprint for the modern home category.
